Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef (preferably 80/20 mix)
4 slices Gruyère Cheese
1 cup Mushrooms (such as cremini or button), sliced
1 cup Crispy Fried Onions
4 Hamburger Buns
Salt and Pepper To taste
Cooking Butter or Oil
- For the Guinness Mustard Aioli
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Guinness Stout
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 Garlic Clove, minced
Directions
- Prepare Jalapeño Aioli:
- Combine mayonnaise, minced jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Roast Jalapeños and Tomatoes:
- Preheat your grill or broiler.
- Lightly oil the jalapeños and tomatoes.
- Grill or broil until the skins are charred and blistered, turning occasionally.
- Remove from the grill or oven, let cool, then peel the skin off the tomatoes and jalapeños.
- Slice the jalapeños and set aside.
- Prepare Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
- Form each into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
- Season both sides with salt and Pepper.
- Preheat Grill:
- Preheat your grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Lightly oil the grill grates or pan.
- Cook Burgers:
- Grill the patties for about 4 minutes per side for medium doneness.
- A couple of minutes before they are done, place a slice of Asadero cheese on each patty to melt.
- Prepare Buns:
