What Air Fryer Does Gordon Ramsay Use? (Air Frying Revolution)

So many people are dropping their old oil fryers and changing to air fryers; it’s called the air frying revolution. Air fryers are cleaner, safer, healthier, and easier to use than oil fryers. I want to start cooking healthier with less oil and drop my traditional oil fryer. So, as I was researching more than 10 airfryers, I wanted to know,

What airfryer does Gordon Ramsay use? Gordon Ramsay uses a Philips brand airfryer with technology that creates a “tornado” of hot air to fry, roast, grill, and bake foods with little to no oil added.

The versatility of the Philips air fryer can’t be beaten. It comes with a large capacity basket that’s big enough to prepare large batches, which is perfect when preparing meals for a family or small groups. Also, being the company it is, Philips is always quick to help out with excellent customer service if you ever have a question.

What Is Philips Air Fryer and How Does It Work?

The airfryer consists of a heating element, a frying basket attached to a pan that catches the juices and fat released as the food cooks, and a fan that pushes hot air around the food. The heating element browns and crisps the exterior while cooking the interior to a safe final temperature.

There are two cooking methods: dry heat, such as frying, and wet heat, such as steaming or braising. Surprisingly, cooking food in oil is considered a dry-heat cooking method. The air fryer takes this method one step further by eliminating the oil.

What are the benefits of flying with Philips Airfyer?

If you still wondering if you should invest in an air fryer? Wonder no more.

  • Air frying is better for your health. Most recipes cook without any added oil; for recipes that call for oil,  use a minimal amount for flavor, usually just a few teaspoons. Too much oil will melt and run off the food, and the air fry appliance may emit smoke.
  • It’s very safe, even for beginning cooks. Unlike deep-frying in a pan on the stovetop, the system is entirely closed. There’s no danger of a pan full of hot oil falling off the stove. Because the machine is sealed closed while cooking, you won’t burn your fingers or get splattered with hot liquid as the food cooks.
  • Most air fryers have automatic cooking functions, so there is no more guesswork. Depending on the model you select, you can cook chicken fingers, French fries, tater tots, and other foods with just a push of a button. The airfryer machine controls the cooking times and cooking temperatures of these foods for you.
  • Cleanup is a breeze. The Airfryers are constructed with a nonstick material, so to clean, you wash the basket and pan in the sink with soap and water, using a sponge that won’t scratch. If any food is burned onto the basket, a rapid soaking will release it. Clean the air fry appliance with a damp paper towel or sponge. You don’t have to concern yourself about safely disposing of cups of oil.
  • The convenience of using only one device to prepare your food is incredible. The cooking method is hands-free, so you can make a salad while your food cooks. If you have a tiny kitchen, this may be the only kitchen appliance you need.

Cooking with an Airfryer has been quite delightful! I’ve made all kinds of recipes, from burgers, chicken nuggets, fries, chicken wings to making an asparagus frittata just as good as if made on a stovetop skillet!

Step by Step Instructions How to use Philips Airfyer

An airfryer is a miniature convection oven: A fan blows heated air over food to cook it quickly. Here are the keys to using it well.

  1. If your air fryer is new, clean it. Remove the basket and pan along with any accessories, and wash them with soap and water. Use a damp paper towel to clean the outside and inside of the air fryer. Dry off all of the components, and familiarize yourself with the instructions.
  2. Prepare your food. Cut food into similar-size pieces, so they cook evenly. If you want to marinate food, you need to do that ahead of time (Most foods only need to marinate for a few minutes, but for intense flavor, you may want to marinate overnight in the refrigerator.) Then, pat the pieces dry. Any excess liquid on foods will drip into the pan and may cause the appliance to smoke.
  3. If needed, preheat. Some air fryer models require preheating; others do not. Read the instruction manual for your device.
  4. If you are going to coat food with crumbs, make sure that the coating is patted firmly onto the food. Spray other foods lightly with cooking spray or oil from a mister. Then, put the food into the basket or baking pan.
  5. If you are going to use a pot, use the size recommended by the instruction manual. Most air fryers use a 6-by-6-by-2-inch pan. Spray the pan with nonstick cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper liners that come with tabs to remove food quickly. You can also use a 6-inch metal bowl as long it fits comfortably in the basket with room to spare on the top. The metal will be scorching, so to remove the pan or pot, use spring-loaded tongs.
  6. Place the basket into the airfryer and set the time. Don’t overcrowd food in the basket. If you’re cooking small items, such as tater tots or chopped vegetables, shake the food halfway through the cooking time. Remove the basket with the pan attached, and stir gently to redistribute the food. Some recipes ask you to turn the food. Never use your fingers; use tongs or a large fork for this step.
  7. When the food is done, remove the basket, with the pan in it, if used, and take the food out with tongs. Never tip the basket with the pan attached into a dish; any liquids or grease in the pan will spill onto the food and may burn your fingers.

Cleaning Instructions for Philips Airfryer

The Airfryer instruction manual will have particulars about how to clean and care for your air fryer machine. As a remember that the air fryer is not a toy, but kitchen cooking equipment, and should handle with care.

Let the machine cool down before trying to clean. Take out the basket and pan and wash with soap and water and a plastic scrubbing brush. If food is stuck on these pieces, let them soak in warm water for 10 to 20 minutes, then clean. Some of the air fryer parts may be dishwasher safe; check the instruction manual.

Make sure that you always check inside the appliance for stray crumbs or bits of food and get rid of them. Wipe the appliance turned off, unplugged, and cooled down both inside and outside with a damp towel, sponge, or paper towel. If grease or oil has fallen to the bottom of the pan, soak it up with paper towels, then wipe clean.
