Chef Gordon Ramsay's Hellfire Chicken Burger combines crispy fried chicken with spicy seasoning, melted cheese, and homemade hot sauce, creating a fiery twist on the classic chicken sandwich that lives up to its name.
For the hot mayo, mix mayonnaise and hot Sauce. Adjust the amount of hot Sauce to your liking.
Combine mayonnaise, hot Sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and honey in a bowl for the hellfire sauce. Mix well and set aside.
Cook Bacon:
In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
Prepare Chicken Patties:
Divide the ground chicken into 4 equal portions.
Form each into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
Season both sides with salt and Pepper.
Grill Chicken Patties:
Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Lightly oil the grill grates or pan.
Grill the chicken patties for 5-6 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
Cheese Topping:
When the patties are nearly done, top each with a slice of white cheddar cheese. Allow it to melt slightly.
Prepare Buns:
Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a skillet.
Assemble Burgers:
Spread hot mayo on the bottom buns.
Place a butter lettuce leaf on each bottom bun, followed by the cheese-topped chicken patty.
Add two strips of bacon on each patty.
Spoon a tablespoon of tomato-bacon jam over the bacon.
Drizzle with the tangy hellfire sauce.
Cap with the top bun.
Serve:
Serve your Hellfire Chicken Burgers immediately, ideally with a side like coleslaw, fries, or a crisp salad.
Notes
Lightly brush the burger buns with butter and toast them on the grill just before serving to achieve a golden-brown crust while keeping the inside soft and warm.
